ugh I've just neglected my polyvore, even though I really do enjoy it. school has been absolutely insane, but only 4? 5? more weeks and I'll be done.

oh my lord. that song is just asdfghjkl. I am going to go buy it now. I usually don't listen to Rihanna, but StilaBabe09 left a link in her Mere's MonthlyMust-Haves for February, so I decided to check it out and ahhh I'm obsessed.
I wish I was a beauty guru. ugh like they're all so pretty and they all seem to live in california (whyyy can't I be a cali girl) and they all shop at target (which is my favorite store of all time) and are just so creative and chill and all.
lol I guess I can be a polyvore girl (: we should really start doing stuff like that. but I'm really not polyvore famous anyways... I usually get like 50 likes per set, which is NOTHING compare to other people.

whoops this set is really old. I though I had published it like a week ago but I kinda forgot... :P
anyywhoo not much has happened lately. well, there's been a lot of drama and all but I won't even try to explain it all since it's way too complicated.
yesterday Victoria and I went to see a basketball game. it was columbia vs. brown, which meant that we could root for either team (I live around columbia, my mom works there, my elementary school was affiliated with columbia, but my mom went to brown). It was SO exciting (no sarcasm). brown literally won in the LAST SECOND. it was tied and there was 1.2 second left and brown had a ball so they called a time out and then as soon as the clock started again this guy threw a 3 pointer and then it was over. I've literally never gotten this excited over basketball before (: plus it was really fun to just forget about all the drama for a couple hours.
 
so this set is for round 4: lake trip. I feel so so so bad that I haven't been really active with it or anything. I kind of underestimated how much work I would have to do this year. I really don't have that much time for polyvore :/ but I'll tryy!

I know, this set is super summery and it's still january. but I really really really want it to be february break and to be lying on the beach in florida ♥
the good thing is, midterms are over. finally. it really wasn't as bad as I thought they'd be. I'm only really worried about latin and global. latin didn't go so well because I studied more concepts and forms of words than vocab, and the test was more focused on vocab.
one more day of school and then intercession, which really isn't that great since it's only two days but right now it seems really really nice.

brrr it's cold here. apparently it hasn't been above freezing since a week ago, when it was 53. this weather is soo weird.

soo this is my entry for round 2 of botbc.
I have a lot of favorite things about sleepovers. I love gossiping with my friends as we give makeovers and eat ice cream sundaes. I love staying up til 5 watching chick flicks and trading old clothes. but I guess most of all, I just like to talk. it can be really hard to get a chance to talk during the day, when time is consumed by school or homework or the countless other activities we do. so, a sleepover is perfect to just forget about all the little things we have to do and just talk. plus, there's the golden rule that whatever's said at the sleepover, stays at the sleepover. so you can say pretty much whatever you want and not worry. it's just a time to be yourself with your best friend(s).

Hurray midterms next week. I actually don't know when any of them are, which I guess is sort of a problem. I'm kind of counting on people in my class to post it in Facebook or something because if they don't then I might fail all of my classes.
I'm going shopping this weekend! I know for some people that's not a big thing, but I've been so busy that I barely get time to shop nowadays. So my mom promised that we could go to Abercrombie and get like bathing suits and spring stuff because I'm going it Florida for February break! My friend Victoria is coming with me and I can't wait. I just want midterms to be over and to be lying on the beach in Florida right now.
I'm in love with urban outfitters. Well, some of their stuff that's not like super hipstery or indie. I would buy like half the store but its pretty expensive. I mean, compared to like Forever 21 or something. Which reminds me that I haven't been to Forever 21 since like June. Now that I changed ballet schools there isn't one nearby me to look in before class.
So today me and my friend went to the met so we could get receipts for our global and art projects. We looked around and went into the Chinese garden place and everything. It wasn't so big of a deal since our schools really close and I go there all the time. We ate lunch on the steps of the met which was SUPPOSED to be all Blair and Serena-y but these stupid pigeons literally followed us around wherever we went! I've lived in NYC all my life but I'm pretty scared of pigeons. They're so creepy and dirty and I'm scared one is going to either land or poop on my head. Anyways, we spent so much time running away from pigeons that we had to run back to school and along the way my phone fell out of my pocket! So now my phone is located at this office down in soho so I don't know how I'm going to get it back.

ok so now for my 2012 in review:
I feel like I've grown a lot over 2012. I've gone from a slightly annoying (ok, maybe not slightly) 7th grader to becoming a more aware teenager. I've also become more aware of my fashion choices. I used to just wear jeans and a shirt and whatever shoes I could find. I really just wore what everyone around me wore. 2012 was also the year that I started coming on polyvore more often. polyvore has changed the way I dress and present myself.
2012 has also been hard. school was challenging and so has almost everything else at one point. there have been tragedies but there have also been moments where I couldn't have been happier. unlike many other years, 2012 has been hard to just wrap up into a box and label. it's been different.
overall, I've changed, and I hope that 2013 will be good to me.
 

anyways, christmas was fun :) I got a LOT of clothes and a pair of riding boots! as a family we got a 51" flat screen tv. the only problem is that we really don't have a place to put it... we have a tv cabinet except it's much too small for the tv we got.
I got so many gifts. however, I still haven't gotten the one thing I really really really wanted: an iphone. I just feel like anybody who's anybody at school and everywhere else has an iphone, or even just a smart phone. so I'm stuck with my little phone which can't even access the internet. at least I have it... after I lost it for 24 hours (it was hidden under papers in my binder - whoops) I've kind of appreciated it more, though I still want an iphone just as much as I did before.
anyways, I'm thinking of maybe blogging more. like actual fashion blogging with taking my own pictures instead of just reblogging stuff on tumblr. or mayyyybe I should just spend less time on the internet and just try to do other things, like exercise, do community service, try babysitting?
 
I'll figure it out in 2013.

ok so I'm now obsessed with gossip girl.
today me and two of my friends had a blair and serena day since it was a half day. we went shopping, then to laduree, and then we ate our macarons on the steps of the met.
but then I lost my phone which wasn't fun. it's not like I really miss my phone, because it really wasn't the best phone ever. it's just what was on it. I had photos, all my friend's contacts, and just amazing conversations. I really really hope I can find it, but now there just really doesn't seem to be any hope. at least the people at shake shack gave me a free custard because I was crying. staying positive yo
my baby cousins from australia are coming tomorrow! omigodomigod I'm so excited. they're 2 and twins and they have australian accents so they're absolutely amazing.
right now I'm watching grey's. honestly, hospitals really aren't like this. my mom's a doctor and nobody's had like affairs with people or competed for surgery... I think so at least.
anyways I'm going to try to come on more often, but it's been hard enough working on schoolwork without procrastinating on polyvore. sorry y'all
oh and today I saw cymbelline! it's the shakespeare production at my school. it was amazing. my school has a really good theatre program, and even though shax can be really dry and boring at times, I was crying and laughing and just amazed.

hey everyone :) I'm sososo sorry I just disappeared for 2 weeks. I just needed some time to work on school and everything. but I got my report card for quarter one and I did pretty well, so that's good.
soo isn't it crazy how soon thanksgiving and xmas are? it's cray cray girrrrl :) so I'm going to my cousin's house either tonight or tomorrow and I'm so excited. then I'm going to do a 1.5 mile run the next day, which I'm kinda scared about, because then everybody in my family will know how out of shape I am. ballet dancers are built for ronde de jambe, not running.
 

ok so now I need to rant.
I'm scared that none of my friends like me anymore. it feels like they all think I'm weird and annoying. also, they think that I'm abandoning them, but I'm not! I just want to hang out sometimes with the kids in my class. is that so bad?
also, I hate how people expect you to be able to just spend like $200 on a bag or a pair of shoes. I'm sorry that I'm not like super rich, but I'd rather buy a pair of shoes or a bag that cost like 50 or so dollars and not have it be like marc jacobs or something.
then again, my mom doesn't get how you sometimes have to make an investment on a phone or something nice. like if you buy a pair of riding boots that cost $75 and are good quality, you can wear those for like 5 years. and EVERYBODY has an iphone in my grade, so if you get one, you basically raise in popularity. I don't want to seem like a popularity wannabe that only does things because it's popular, but it's true.
 
ughhhhh I think I'm just gonna go and paint my nails and listen to taylor swift now. #badmoodtuesdays
